Bots in Stripes!!!

My Cousin's boy turned 6 recently, so I went to Lots of Bots without hesitation. I also got out my Nesties Circles and gave them an airing. This is Aaron's card....

It actually started out being about the OTHER side of this DP (Jersey Shore - ret) which has big dots on it but all one colour, then I decided I liked the stripes MUCH better. That led me to my C'bug Distressed Stripes folder too...and I combined them. The circles then break the stripes. I only however embossed the edge of the dark blue circle. I also stamped off the light blue and stamped Binary Code along the whole circle.

Then it was just a case of deciding where all the circles would go! I also stamped the nuts, bolts and screws over the top of the sentiment. I love the distressed stripes into the DP stripes.

I will have the 'spotty' version to show you at a later date. Thanks for dropping by.

Another BOT...or 2!!!

Andrea Walford made a FAB card with the Lots of Bots set here. Now I have NO intentions of trying to replicate 100% one of her masterpieces, but I did put my own take on this card of hers. I am luvin' this Lots of Bots set.....so much fun and in clear mount I can't go wrong!!

Here is my version of Andrea's card....

I stamped out the robot on the DP too and then cut and stuck the bits I wanted...I am loving this effect...as I have used it a lot of late!! I also got to use some Crystal Effects on the numbers...just for something different.

Miss 5 also attended a classmate's 6th birthday recently so i broke out the bots again!! I had some orange and white polka dot DP that just happened to match Tangerine Tango....too lucky. Mix that with some Pacific Point and a bit of binary fun and you have the following....

I stamped off the binary code behind the "6", but with the clear mount stamps it was all too easy. Love the effect too.

Rest assured...there will be more BOT action as time goes on!!

CS: (SU) Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Whisper White and Royal Blue and Red textured card fm stash
Ink: (SU) Basic Black, Night of Navy, Tangerine Tango, and Versacolour Scarlet for the "11"
DP: Both Franchenville...but unfortunately I cut the names off them!!! arrrggghhhh!!!!
Other bits: Silver Nickel Brads, Bella Chipz Numbers, Upkit Gold 6 sticker, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 SU square Punch, SU mat pack set (to line up holes for the brads!!).

My 1st Bot!!!

My very best bud (yeah Tracey!!) Gave me a set that I had been HANGING out for for a very long time.....Lots of Bots!! I love this set.....especially for little boys. Our young neighbour turned 9 recently and so it was the perfect opportunity to bust out this set and ink it up!! Mast 10 (self proclaimed "DUDE of cool" chose the bot for this card...and it was only after I had mounted it...that I realised the "get Well Soon' bot...indeed has a busted arm!! (note to self...look closer next time..LOL!!) Here is the finished product...

...and a close up of the sentiment...

I love the combo of black red and silver for a male card.....as you saw for Robbie's 50th card not so long ago!!

You will no doubt see more bots popping up from time to time as the boy birthdays continue.

Thanks for stopping by.
