I Got Happy Mail!!!

(I beg for forgiveness in the time taken between receiving this and the time taken to post it!!!)

It is alway nice to make new friends and even nicer when these beautiful people surprise you with wee surprises in the mail. Jenny Hayward I have never met in person, yet we have become FAB blog buddies and always share a laugh.

Some time back I hit a bit of a brick wall and I received this beautiful card from Jenny. It picked up spirits and made me smile, which is what I am sure it was meant to do. It has been made with the beautiful "Just Believe" stamp set. This set is very, VERY quickly moving up my wish list. Hard to see in the pic but she had also used the Sanded BGS to add a bit of texture.

It looks beautiful IRL....and she has paid such wonderful attention to detail. Knowing my colour prefrences, she has done a smashing job. The Scallop trim Border and Corner punches are also on my ever growing wish list!!!!

Thank you so very much Jenny for brightening my day. There is noting like finding something hand made and from the heart in your letter box.

A Handy BAG

The very talented and supportive Jenny Hayward posted this very cute little handbag. You know when you have a birthday coming up and you have NO IDEA what to get/make. This post came at exactly one of those moments. Miss Turning 10 (Kayla) needed a gift to go with her card, and I thought this wee bag would be perfect. So here's what I came up with...

and from the side and a close up of the "K".

I did the base from Rich Razzleberry (which is fast becoming my new fave colour) and the top in Orchid Opulence. The handle is actually a pale baby pink ribbon that I got from Alice's and the brads are part of a packet of 12 that I paid $1 for...LOVE a bargain!!! The Orchid Opulence is dry embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. It was filled with pencil top erasers, mini gel pens and mini multi colour pens. It was a HUGE success...so thanks Jenny for getting me out of a huge hole with this fun project.

Stuff used:
CS: (SU) Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: (SU) Rich Razzleberry
Punches: (SU) Scallop Circle, Horizontal Slot Punch, CM 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 circle punches, Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch, carla Craft Corner Rounder Punch.
Other bits: Pearl brads fm Reject Shop, Ribbon fm Alice's, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Velcro Dot Closure.
