Yes...I have been back a week and I have totally lost the urge to craft...(insert v v frustrated and exasperated sigh!!!)
So, I thought I'd share something non crafty with you. I have some pics of my time in Singapore. I did have a great time and I loved seeing and spending some quality time with my bestie on her new turf. Singapore is an amazing place. Extremely clean, great public transport system...and v v hot and humid...LOL!!!
On my first day we went to Santosa Island. The feature of this place is the Merlion. It is huge and you can go inside it and get magnificent views of all around. It is set on many levels...one as seen here....
Then we trekked up to the Merlion....
And had our photo taken inside of its mouth. This also includes my Bestie (Tracey) and her crew.
The Wednesday was Master Thomas' 6th birthday, and we took a trip to......
The only other zoo I had been too was Taronga here in Sydney, and seriously, there is no comparison. Singapore Zoo is an amazing experience. Everything is so close, there are monkeys roaming free all around and you can get so very close to all the animals.
Rhinos
Orangutans
and Zebras
I had to have a wee giggle to myself moving away from the zebras......this was a sign....
Makes me wonder what was in the feeding trough...LOL!!!
Perhaps the most magical thing I experienced was with a slow moving, mammoth beast that is beyond words. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.....
Yes...I got to ride an elephant!!! Never in a million years would I have ever thought this would be something I would do. Like most things, it was over WAY to quickly, but it is something I will always remember.
Thanks for enduring this incredibly self indulgent post. I promise there are more things to share with you about my time in Singapore, but perhaps in smaller bites...hee hee hee.
For those of you in Sydney, stay warm and dry today....those elsewhere, I hope you are enjoying your time, whatever you may be doing.
Thanks for dropping by.
