During my recent "rest" period....I had an onslaught of birthdays....some of which I am still to catch up on!!! One thing I did do whilst resting was sketch a LOT of card layout ideas. One of them is featured here.
One of the secretaries I use to work with had a birthday in early March. I had intended to do her a suitcase (as shown in my previous post), but alas ran out of time adnd steam. I HAD the chocolates...just not the wrapping...so what to do??? I had made some fridge magnet calendars for the gals at work, so I co-ordinated what I had.......and this is what greeted her for ther birthday......
If all else fails....use cellophane!!!! True...not as intriguing as a suitcase, but I still think it looked ok...for a last ditch OMG....what-am-I-gunna-do effort. As you can see...T have done a diagonal cut for the DP and edged it with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. Just adds that bit of interest I think.
It is also no secret that I LOVE (as most do) the Bliss stamp set. There is such detail in the flourish and the butterfly as seen here....
Margaret DID love her pressie (phew). You will see quite a few of this card's layout over the coming weeks...as I miscalculated and actually got DOUBLE the amount I needed as (dah) you get 2 cards from the one rectangle!!
Thanks for popping by.

AB FAB Lynda.
Hey sweetie, as long as there's chocolate involved, it don't matter none what the packaging looks like!! LOL!!!! No, seriously, your card is just lovely - adore the colours - and I'm sure the sentiment was much appreciated. We made suitcases in class yesterday and they were a big hit, so I'm sure you're going to love giving them away just as much as making them. Hugs :)
What a gorgeous present, LOVE IT... my birthday is in MAY LOL
It is so nice to have you back and sharing your fabulously delicious creations with us. I love the "plan B" ... and there would be something wrong if the recipient didn't love this too! (I realise they did!) Can't wait to see what else you have for us!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ... your lovely gift arrived today!
You are such a sweetie! And ... so thoughtful. Your friendship means the world to me!
I wish I could give you a big hug ... but one day ... when we do catch up for real ... I will give you 50 to make up for all the ones I owe you!
I love the colours ... you are so good at remembering these little details! (You know how much I love green and purple.) And ... the pumpkin is a gorgeous add to this combo! The patchwork DSP is stunning! You clever little chicken! I am going to make sure I post a photo here ... so everyone can see! (Just need to find the time to do that!) :D
These will take pride of place on my desk. Until they sneak into my handbag sometime soon!
Big hugs ... to a special friend ... Hugs xxaxx
Geez... Do you think Andrea could have left a longer comment? I am sure it's the longest I've ever seen! But obviously you deserve it! And you two must get together and meet!
Anyway I love this card and I love that you got two for the price of one!
Why oh why, is Bliss only a SAB set?
So good to see you getting some sanity back.
Cheers
Sonia
