My bestie being the great gal she is...pretty much predicted that I may wanna suss out some of the crafty haunts in Singapore. On the way over in the plane, I took some "Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft" magazines with me as well. By pure coincidence....what I read about in some of the mags....I found in Singapore!!! Who'd of thought??
One thing I saw were these stunning ladies...
I had actually made a mental note to source them when I got back to Australia...so you can imagine my delight when I found them OS!!! I wanted to try a vintage thing with them, so using what bestie had in her craft room I came up with these (bearing in mind I have still not added the sentiments yet!!)
The images in this and the next card were stamp on a textured cream/ivory paper which I was a little unsure of to start with, but was really happy with in the end. Once I had sponged the edges...it gave a whole new feel.
This is #2
The lace in this card.....well it was one of those amazing finds. Bestie introduced me to the "Daiso" experience. Daiso is really a $2 shop on steroids. EVERYTHING is $2 and it covers basic, electrical, kitchen, stationary, homewares....and of course crafting bits n pieces!! They are even bringing it to Australia soon. They had 3m packets of lace for $2....and of course I could not resist....lol!!!
Hope you have enjoyed the first glimpse of my creative time away. I will be back soon with some more.
